Hello, Radiant Souls!✨
Welcome to my post! Nice to see you here. Especially if you're exploring blogging at your own pace, you're in the right place. Today, I'll walk through how to set up Google Search Console step by step—no tech skills needed!
| What is Google Search Console?
Google Search Console (GSC) is a 100% free tool from Google that helps website owners monitor, maintain, and improve their site’s presence in Google Search results. It’s like a dashboard that shows how your website performs in search engines and helps you fix any issues that might affect your ranking.
| 5 Key features of Google Search Console?
1. Performance Tracking
It sees how many people find your website through search engines, which search terms they use, and how often they click on your site.
2. Indexing & Crawling Insights
It finds out if Google can access and read your web pages. If some pages aren’t showing up on Google, GSC can help identify the issue.
3. Fixing Errors
It alerts you to issues like broken links, mobile usability problems, or slow-loading pages.
4. Sitemaps & URL Inspection
It submits your website’s sitemap so Google understands your site structure. You can also check individual pages to see if they’re indexed or not.
5. Security & Manual Actions
It warns you if your site has security issues (like hacking) or penalties from Google for breaking rules.
| Why Use Google Search Console?
It helps improve SEO (Search Engine Optimization) by providing valuable data on how your site appears in search results. You can fix problems quickly before they impact your rankings.
| How to Set Up Google Search Console?
There are two main ways to set up Google Search Console (GSC) for your blog.
| Through the Google Search Console Website (Manually)
This method works for any website, including Blogger, WordPress, or custom domains.
· Go to Google Search Console and sign in with your Google account.

· Click "Start Now" and choose “Domain” or “URL Prefix” (For Blogger, use "URL Prefix").
· Enter your Blogger site URL (e.g., https://yourblogname.blogspot.com/).
· Click “Continue” and Google will automatically verify your Blogger site (since it's already linked to Google).
· If you’re using a custom domain, you might need to verify ownership by adding a TXT record in your domain settings (Google will provide instructions).
| Through Blogger Settings (Easier for Blogger Users)
This is a simple method specifically for blogger users.
· Open your Google Blogger Dashboard and go to "Settings."
· Scroll down to "Crawlers and indexing."
· Click "Google Search Console" and it will take you directly to the verification page.

If you’re using a Blogger subdomain (.blogspot.com), the Blogger settings method is quicker. The extra verification process is not required.
If you have a custom domain, the manual method via the GSC website may require extra verification.
