Hi, Radiant Guys! How have you been? In the last post, we learned how to create a submenu and its items and how to neatly organize the items belonging to the submenu by putting them in a box. Yes, I applied some HTML tags.
Today, I will create a menu in the header bar that allows me to go to an external site. For example, I can go to an external homepage, an external blog, or a specific category menu within my own blogger. How about this? This method can greatly expand a blogger's reach.
In my last post, "10. How Do I Add a Menu in Blogger?" I discussed the importance of adding pages when creating new menus. However, in this post, the key is not to add a new page but to insert an external link into the page using the "Page Gadget" in the layout tab. Great, shall we find out together?

I am going to show you how to create a menu in the header bar that takes me to "Pixlr E," a free online image editor.
• Select the “Layout” from the left menu of the blogger dashboard.
• Click the “Edit” under the “Page Gadgets” on the right.
• In the "Configure page list" window, click the "ADD A NEW ITEM".
• Enter “Pixler E” as the page name.
• Put the web address of Pixler Editor in the "Page URL".
• Click the "Save".
• Save all changes to the page list configuration. As shown in the image below, the title "Pixler E" and its website address have been newly added to the page list.
• Click the “Save” in the bottom right to save the layout new arrangement.

• In the Layout window, click the "Edit" under the Page gadget.
• Click the trash can icon in the page list configuration window to delete the page.
• Click the "SAVE".
• Click the "SAVE" to apply the page list configuration change to the Blogger.
Congratulations! In today's post, we learned how to add and delete a menu in the header bar using the "Page Gadget" without adding a page. This menu, in particular, moves directly to an external website or an external blogger.
So under what circumstances are these menus needed? First of all, in the case of a menu that links to an external website, I think it would be convenient if it is highly related to other external web pages or is used very frequently due to the nature of the blogger's content.
When do you need a menu that links to an external blogger? When you run a blog for a certain amount of time, there may be times when you feel the desire to cover topics that are different from the subject you are currently covering. In this case, there are cases where a new blogger is created because the topic direction is different from the current blogger. In this case, you may be able to create a synergy effect between the two bloggers by creating a menu in the menu bar of your current blogger that moves directly to another blogger, so-called linked menus.
Alright, in the next post, I will try to classify and search my posts easily by category by creating a menu called "Categories" in a collapsible sidebar on the right side of the blogger with the theme "Dynamic Views." Wonderful! I hope my post was helpful to you, Radiant Guys. Take care and see you soon.
