Hi, you Radiant Souls! How is it going, Everyone?✨

In the last post, we looked at the seven view modes of the theme "Dynamic Views".

Today, I am introducing you to the theme's configuration, especially the Sidebar view in detail. Of course, I would like to remind you that what I am mentioning is based on the theme "Dynamic Views."

Well, since I've moved into a new house called "Dynamic Views", I need to look into every nook and cranny to use the new space to suit me. Would you like to explore it with me?

Today's Contents:

• Basic Layouts and Names

• Header    • Header bar

• Page     Sidebar     Gadgets

| Basic Layouts and Names

Dynamic Views primarily includes a header, header bar, and page in its layout.

As the image below shows, the basic structure and its names are actually simple. Let's say, you run your own blog and need to change the design of the layouts, background images, links, etc. to suit your taste. However, if you do not know these basic concepts on the structure, you are bound to experience various inconvenient situations.

Therefore, please be familiar with these basic structures and names.

The theme is largely composed of a header, header bar, and page.

🎯 TIP

Since I set the sidebar view mode of the theme Dynamic Views as the default window, readers will see this post in sidebar view mode.

🎯 TIP

Design changes, such as those to the header, header bar, and page, are made in “Theme Customise Advanced.”

You can find the theme and customise on the Blogger dashboard.

You can get into the theme designer section (included "Background", "Advanced", and more) via the customise icon.

| Header

The header area at the top of the window contains the following features.

  • Blogger (blog) Title
  • Blogger (blog) Description
  • Search

The header area contains the blogger title, blogger description, and search.

| Header Bar

The header bar area just below the header area has a menu icon (⏷) that you can choose one among 7 view modes. Depending on your preset, one of the seven view modes appears by default when you open your blogger online.

This type of menu is called a “drop-down menu”. In other words, it can be said to be a menu in which the user selects only one value from several choices by clicking on the menu or hovering the mouse over the menu icon. Additionally, users can add custom menus to the header bar.

In the header bar area, you can choose from seven view modes and customize menus by adding and deleting items.

| Page

The page area contains the following features.

  • The list of posts by title and the main text of the post
  • Links within the text, the author's nickname, labels, and the "add a comment".
  • The post date and date ribbon

Key features like the list of posts by title and the main text of the post on the page area.

🎯 TIP

Depending on the type of the view mode of Dynamic Views, the functional items displayed on the page screen may be different.

| Sidebar

The part where the titles of posts appear on the left side is called “Sidebar”. Of course, this will only be visible if you select the sidebar view among the various views. See the image8. below.

I dare say that the sidebar view in the Dynamic Views theme is the flower of Dynamic Views. Posts published are sorted in the order of publication, and selected posts can be viewed simultaneously on the right in classic view mode, allowing you to enjoy the posts quite comfortably.

However, there is definitely something disappointing about this part.

When searching for posts in the sidebar, the titles of each post are often cut off in the middle, which limits understanding of the content.

Therefore, design modifications are needed in this area, and I will cover this issue in my post soon. Here are some questions on this issue:

  •  How to make the title of a post visible from the beginning to the end letter in the sidebar
  • How to optimize spacing between the sidebar on the left and post that places on the right.

| Gadgets

Some gadgets appear on the right side of the screen only when you hover the mouse over it. Dynamic View's hover actions are unique, but I feel like this feature is highly annoying me, so I'd like to introduce you to constantly keeping the gadgets visible in the other post soon.

The gadget menu bar in the theme "Dynamic Views" basically consists of the following items:

"Popular Posts," "About Me," "Blog Archive," and "Labels".

I plan to introduce how to add a category menu to the gadget menu bar in another post soon.

Congratulations!

We took a look at the basic layout of the theme "Dynamic Views." I wonder if you all had a worthwhile time with this post.

In the next post, I will introduce you to the step-by-step design changes for your blog. I really look forward to seeing you very soon. Take care, Radiant Souls!
