Hello, Radiant Guys! It's been a while. In the last post, we learned how to add a menu linking to an external website to the header bar using a page gadget.

Today, I will introduce how to create a category menu in the right sidebar by adding a label gadget.

| Using a Label Gadget

• Select "Layout" from the menu on the left side of the blogger dashboard, and click "Edit" on the Label gadget in the sidebar on the right.

🎯 TIP

If there is no label gadget in the sidebar list, select “Add Gadget” to add a new gadget. Then you choose the "Label gadget" and click the "Plus sign" (+) on the right.

| Setting up the Label Gadget Configuration

• Enter “Category” in the title field. This title becomes the title of the gadget that expands to the left when you hover the mouse over the collapsible sidebar on the right in your blogger.

• Select “Alphabetically” in the "Label sorting". Then select “List” in the display method. Activate the "Show number of posts per label". This displays the number of posts containing the corresponding label right next to each Label gadget menu in the collapsible sidebar.
• Select the “Selected labels” from the “Display” at the bottom.

• Then select all the labels you want to appear in the "Select labels" section. At this time, it is desirable to select labels that correspond to the core topic of the menus created in the header bar for readers' visibility.

🎯 TIP

Entering the label you want in the labels selection field will help you find it quickly. However, you cannot enter multiple labels at once; you can only enter and index one label at a time. I think this is a bit inconvenient.

• After selecting all the labels you want, click the “Save” in the bottom right.

| Placing and Saving of the "Category Labels Gadget"

• In the Gadgets sidebar on the right, drag the newly created “Category Labels gadget" with the mouse and drop it off to the desired location.

• Click the “Save” (floppy disc-shaped) at the bottom right to save the changed layout.

| Confirmation of Category Gadget Creation

If you hover your mouse over the Gadgets sidebar on the right, a category gadget menu will appear.

• When you select the "Google Blogger" category, a list of posts containing the label "Google Blogger" appears in the left sidebar. Right next to each label, the total number of posts related to that label is displayed.

Category Gadget Menu Deletion

• Select the "Layout" in the left sidebar menu of the blogger dashboard and click "Edit" on the "Category" label gadget in the Gadgets sidebar. Then click the "REMOVE" to delete the "Category" label gadget in the "Configure labels" window.

Congratulations, Radiant Guys! Today, we looked at how to create a “Category” gadget using the Label gadget in the right collapsible sidebar in Blogger with the Dynamic Views theme installed. It has two advantages; First, you can use it when you want to create a new menu by collecting posts that are classified under a specific label among your posts. Second, in the sidebar list on the left, all posts containing a specific label appear in order of recent date, making it easy to search.

I wonder what enjoyment you got from this post. It may seem a bit complicated at first glance, but I am sure that if you follow the instructions step by step, you will quickly become a blogger expert.
In the next post, I will introduce how to adjust the space between the left sidebar and the text. I hope you don't forget that you are already a blessing and a miracle, and I'll see you next time.
